Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

1. The Service

MyDefenderFellow ("the Fellow," "the service") is an AI thinking partner for people facing the legal system, whether defending others or defending themselves, operated by Resonant Catalyst. It helps you think through a situation, organize facts, and prepare. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

2. AI-Generated Content

Responses are generated by an AI system and are for thinking and preparation only. They are not legal advice, do not create an attorney-client relationship, and are not a substitute for a licensed lawyer. See our Disclaimer for the full picture. Verify anything important against your jurisdiction's law before acting on it.

3. Acceptable Use

MyDefenderFellow is for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not exploit the Fellow for personal or commercial gain. This includes, without limitation:

You also agree not to use the service unlawfully, to abuse or attempt to circumvent the system, or to use it on behalf of anyone in a way that would require a license you do not hold.

Enforcement. Violating this Acceptable Use section is grounds for Resonant Catalyst to suspend or terminate your access or membership, at our discretion and without refund.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of the information and documents you share with the Fellow. You are responsible for what you upload, and for making sure you have the right to share it. Please be thoughtful about including information that identifies other people. See Care for Your Information for how we protect what you share.

5. Intellectual Property

The MyDefenderFellow name, design, prompts, and software are the property of Resonant Catalyst. These Terms do not grant you any right to copy, reproduce, or create derivative products from the service.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Resonant Catalyst accepts no liability for decisions or actions taken based on content from the service, or for outcomes based on incomplete, inaccurate, or withheld information. The service is provided to help you think and prepare, not to represent you.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or complete.

8. Changes and Termination

We may update these Terms or the service from time to time. We may also suspend or end the service, or your access to it, as described above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
